Great afternoon on Friday weather wise and Mux got a 7.5 pound Walleye west of the ferry.
Saturday we were skunked but we received some tips on where to go on Sunday morning. We ventured east of the ferry in 100 FOW and bang Mux gets a 8.5 pound walleye five minutes into our fishing! Approximately 20 minutes later I hear fish on and Wayne O Mac has got one on. Mac lands our boats biggest fish ever in over thirty years fishing the bay with a 15 pound walleye. We checked the scale three times and with the rough water we registered 14.5 and 15 lbs depending on the wave. We are calling his fish 15 pounds!!! Packed up to head back to the dock @ 10.56 am and I land a 1 pound walleye that was dragging behind for some time.
Awesome weekend and we will be back one more time before the hard water hits.

Nice Catchin' Snarfy!

Thanks for the report. Glad to hear you found a couple of Pickerel to take home. Especially the 15 pound personal best for the boat! Congratulates. A fish of a lifetime for most people!

Cheers, Kevin

Well done on the 15 lb trophy!! I am planning to come down this weekend to fish and have always fished west of the ferry and mainly up long reach and around hay bay in anywhere from 20 FOW-40FOW. I have never thought to fish 100 FOW for walleye and was wondering if you could give me any help on what depth I should have my lures? I just have a 14 foot with a 25 hp on the back and no down riggers etc so wondering if I would just be wasting time trying without? This time of year I like using 30 foot deep rapala tail dancers etc. Any help is much appreciated.

We used 3 oz snap weights .got down to the fish Mark's at 50 plus feet. Silver/blue walley diver was the lure for Macs 15. Good luck! Snarfy

Well done lads! We jigged at the mouth of the Trent Sunday pre Grey Cup. There is definitely a jig bite there, with many fish reported caught. Boat control is key. We were lucky enough to watch the Santa Clause parade come over us on the Trenton bridge, that was a first!
Good luck to all. !

This year I've purchased brand new dark blue Alumacraft Edge 18 feet with all electronics FF, trolling motor, Scotty downrigger , VHF radio etc.

So we were fishing Sunday.
We started at Thomson's point.
Out of 3 experienced fisherman I was the only one who caught something.
Well ... formally I even caught limit of walleye by jigging.
But the size was ... about 7-8 inches.

We tried trolling in Adolthus reach, but my partners don't like trolling. So I only had 1 hour.
No luck this time.
