Does anyone know of such a thing as a website where people can refer to find out if there fishing trip was successful or just a flop.? I am looking for some recommendations from happy fishermen that have gone to a lodge -ice fishing camp with the majority of the fish being walleyes. We are looking for a camp somewhere between Brockville-Ottawa-NorthBay areas. We just came back from a trip in the Kawartha's on March6, 2006. We are 7 relatively experienced ice- fishermen fished in excess of a total 120 hours and only caught 2 walleyes. The camp owner was not very helpful and led us down the garden path. Thanks for any input to this excellent site.

Hey TryHard,

This is another site I check out often. Although mostly US content, the posters seem to share their knowledge on pretty much everything.

http://www.iceshanty.com/ice_fishing/index.php

I hope this helps.

Cheers :D

. .... sounds to me like you need a guide. that would be my route. find a guide and he is usually tapped in on places to stay close to his fishing area....... nice lodging means nothing if yer not catching fish. and when yer catching good fish all you really need is a warm place to sleep!
.... if you fished 120 houres and only cought 2 fish i have to wonder i think in 120 houres id have at least 240 holes thinking 2 holes drilled per houre if im not catching fish, times that by 7 guys! that many holes i hope it was a big lake lol . that reminds. me .............*Adding power auger to my christmas list next year* good luck!
