Snow

Can someone tell me how much snow is on the ice between Trenton and Potters? Is it patches of hard pack? All snow covered. Need to determine my means of transportation on the ice .

I was at Potter's Sunday. There was about 2 feet of snow with 3 foot drifts. There were packed down trailers from others but if you didn't stick to those paths the snow is deep. This was before the big storm we got monday

Is a quad useless there now? I literally just got back from buying an auger mount and a rear bag for the ATV haha. Damn!

I'm not sure. When I was there it probably would have been fine but then we got that big dumping of snow on Monday. Might need to go get a plow for your bike haha

going to need some Camoplast tracks for your bikes for the rest of the season if you're going on the ice.. its only going to get more snow

The funny part is that I have a plow on my other quad.... The one that won't start when it's cold :S

I literally have to put a space heater on the engine for about 15 minutes before it will start but then it starts on the first crank. I won't take that one on the ice haha. I burned a hole through the footwell of it yesterday trying to heat it up with a propane heater!

I saw a couple of quads in Belleville today but they were sticking to the trails

I just bought a plow for my bike from crappy tire for 350$ fits on any bike any model not bad for 350 either

Sweet, do you want to plow me a trail at Potter's? HAHA. I'm still new to this, would a plow do any good out there, as in, can you plow yourself a trail or are you just asking for double trouble with added resistance? I guess as long as you can build momentum initially, and you'll always have a track to reverse out of?

Out from potters not bad, walked from shore out to the center and enough traffic on the bay made all travelling easy.

Somebody actually plowed out a trail on potter's to set a permanent but lol. I don't have a trailer to haul my bike around with

That was Pete and he has some rental huts out there, can not remember what he calls himself by rental name or quinte board I was talking with him on shore be4 he headed out.
