Was out tonight and the fish were all too eager to eat. Landed 7 and lost a couple at the hole and had a number of lookers. Size wise most were 2-3 lbs and biggest was 8lbs. Heavy gold pimple tipped with one decent size minnow did most of the damage. Some of them had to be worked, ever so slowly reeling up while slightly jiggling the bait and others just came out of no where and smashed it. It really surprised me how little ice has been made with these cold temps so be safe and don't assume.

Went out yesterday got 1 for 2 on the fishing end. (I am happy with that) Then the best part of the trip was I was able to spend time on the shore when I returned from the ice talking with a great advocate of the sport and youth enabler of the B.P.D. and someone I call a friend Cst. Pat Comeau.(nothing but respect my friend even though you caught more walter's the me).

Well today I went 0 for 1 but I still won out because I was able to get out and get back. Congrats to the catchers and better luck next time to the not so fortunate. Enjoy the early ice I know
I am.

It’s nice to hear that the fish are biting. I’ve got to get out on the ice. Thanks for the encouragement everyone. Dan
