Got out for the first time in a few years. Fished county shores with a few friends. The walk out was great with having mostly bare ice. Fish were very sluggish and we only managed to get one eater and marked a few other fish. Didn't seem like anyone else caught any fish either. I did talk to one guy who said he caught 2 ten pounders but I think he was joking because I could see his nose growing lol. Also think I caught a whiff of Canadian club on his breath too so must have been the whiskey talking lol.
There were probably 12 other groups of guys around too. About 8" of good solid ice.
Good luck everyone, stay safe!

Yes they do- they posted a while back....

We hope that everyone had a Merry Christmas and the Santa brought you all lots of new fishing gear! :)

County Shores Parking Lot is NOW OPEN and plowed out. It is 24/7 service the same as other years. Self pay envelope system at side door of store and $5.00/vehicle charge. We have Medium Muds presently in Stock with different sizes and Shiners coming next week.

Ice Conditions are still UNKNOWN, I have not had time to check the ice for myself and seeing that we just opened no one has been out yet. The Bay has been frozen over here for almost 3 weeks now though. Be sure to bring your spud and check things for yourself.

Store Hours for Bait, Tackle and Licenses are:

Monday to Thursday 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Friday 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Saturday and Sunday 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM
We are closed from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM on Weekdays

Good Luck, Tight lines and lets hope that Mother Nature gives us a long Ice Fishing Season this year!

Todd Foster
