Does anyone know if there is any public access to the Reach along the shore line around Catalaque Shoal, the walk over from Huff,s makes me a little nervous

Not 100% sure but I don’t think so. There is a cottage rental place there but I can’t remember the name of it. I believe it is closed in the winter and I never checked to see if there is any paid parking around that area. I’ve always went on from huffs. Just depends on the ice conditions

theres a rd along south side of the bay runs right along shore line takes u almost right to green point but... from what I understand the people who live there aren't big on people using the rd. I may be wrong. Id like to get there myself but its a hike if you have no machine..

county side you pretty well have quick short rd but risk a ticket if its snowing cant park down at the water but you can drop your gear off and park up on Green Point Road............ most the cottage people down there are well looked after by people who live year round than they hate getting asked 1000 times a season to fish off there property you can tell by signs posted at the properties lol Just think how you would feel lol .......... but yah. quick short is the way on still a good walk to GP why bother fishing is good right off quick short grass is not always greener on green point, or the other side . you guys ever get the feeling your walking over fish in order to find fish?

That’s a real high current hot spot. My cottage is directly across from the green bouy at Cat. Shoal on the east shore. My experience has been a least half the ice thickness there than anywhere else. It’s always the last area along that part of the reach to freeze and the first to thaw in spring. If you do find a way to get out, be careful and spud, spud, spud!!!

Well depending on what kinda shape you are in, you could always just walk down the reach close to shore and once you get to that spot spud it up!
