Decided to go over out of peats point. Got about half a football field out following the trail out. Spud in hand and I notice what looked like a 2' hole so checked it with my spud to be sure and it was. Saw 3 similar holes and decided to turn around. Went off herchimer ave about a km out and ice was 10"-12". Mostly flat on top with some pooling of water. Also saw a few holes here and there where the water was spiraling down the holes. Becareful outthere if it snows like they are calling for the holes will be covered over. The peats point holes were nasty and would eat an ATV tire.

Plus it will take a day or two before the run-off subsides.
the rivers/creeks by my places were high.

Be safe out there
