My son and I headed to Huff's today for an afternoon bite and within an hour the battery for my flasher died. As anyone with a flasher knows, fishing without one just isn't the same. After a while I got to thinking... hmm, the Mac/Dewalt 20v battery on my drill might work for the flasher?? So I took a shot and used two willow leaf lures as spade connectors, hooked up the wires, and the old FL8 survived. Try at your own risk LOL. But it worked all day for us with no issues at all.

We landed 4 nice perch and a 7lb walleye, all returned to swim another day.

Now that's funny! Great thinking!
