Went to Huff's on Jan 26 just after midday. About 16 groups/pop ups around. Some folks were on ATVs. Walking was good with most of the surface a crunchy frozen slush, good to have cleats though. Drilled a few holes in 20 to 23 fow and ice was about 11 inches in those spots. Moved further west to about 26 fow and ice was down to 6 inches. Kin of dicey for a ATVs imho. Bite started at about 3:45 pm and I caught 4 wallys, 3 nice eaters and a smaller one. Best outing for me this year. Previous attempts were at Thompson's point/Hay Bay and they yielded naught but perch. Weather is now calling for a two day thaw with 10 mm of warm rain, I urge caution especially in higher current areas like Huff's, Long Reach and Deseronto.
Cheers

You are right pdubya, all my years of experience there I would never take my bike on the west side. I draw an imaginary line down the middle and keep the bike on the east side. Plus after talking to one home owner on the west side who had witnessed an ATV go in years ago with 2 Guys on it... well lets just say I didn't like his story.

Stay safe out there
