Conditions are bad after depth of 20' deep…holes haven't been freezing up for 2 weeks and after all this snow, ice is thin…US fishermen confirmed that with us tonight!!

Not sure what this report is saying. Did a US angler fall through or just stepped in an open hole? How thick is the ice after a depth of 20 ft? Is the point about 20 ft included because there is more current in water over 20 ft in that area? BATMAN

Ollywally, not sure if it was our group that talked to you, but we're the group from the U.S. that was out there last night. Spud went through with one soft hit at 20 FOW. We backed up a bit and fished in 19-20 ft. About 5 inches of ice, half white. Slushy out there too. Slow bite....

Yes it was you guys lakewoodian, I was trying to say that you confirmed with us that the ice was thin (thank you) and hope you found a safe place to fish.
Meanwhile, Police and Fire Department just left from Quick Short Rd…an ATV was submerged half way out from Quick Short Rd on Long Reach with cooler and equipment on ice around it. There will be Police checking out Huffs Point area for possible abounded vehicle??!! Very scarry!!

I'm confused. So there was an ATV half submerged,. Abandon equipment still on the ice? Are they thinking someone is missing?

We fished huffs tonight and saw emergency vehicles across the bay at quick short. Hope everyone involved is ok and stays safe. Ice at huffs was good, bite still slow for us. Very slushy and wet. Hope it stays good for the next couple days (and the rest of the season for you all!)

Side note here....we went through deseronto this morning and it looked like there was a small SUV that attempted to drive out on the water by the park and didn't get very far.

ATV seat and bars were showing…a cooler was brought in by rescue team…has been snowing all day so no foot prints seen. Police are looking for an abandoned vehicle on both sides of Long Reach around water access roads.
