Took a tour this aft from Amherstview along 33 and along south shore Hay Bay.

The ice has really changed in a week, but still a little ways to go, before we can call it open water with ice chunks.

Still pretty solid around Amherstview. Looked like maybe a couple of guy's off Nicholson's Point but hard to make out what the black sport were. A little further west, someone windsurfing on the ice close to shore.

Lots of ice breaking up near the temporary dock at the old Celanese property and the Amherst ferry. Finkle's launch is solid and looks like it will be for a bit yet.

Mostly broken slabs to the generating station. Last Monday, guys were fishing off the west end of Amherst Island in the gap that leads to Lake Ontario. That's all open now.

West of the generating station is all solid with a few open spots to the Glenora ferry.

Hay Bay is all solid and wet. Three guys heading out from the launch by the Loyalist Church.

Real nice to see some blue water again.

Thanks for the update on the ice/water situation. Can't wait for open water.

Stay Tuned
