As crazy as it sounds, I braved the cold this morning and launched my kayak to try my luck for some early season browns. No fish pics today

Water temp was 34 at it's highest and was gin clear. I made my around West Point towards Wellington and found lots of ice near shore. Still a little early IMO. I'll try again in a few weeks.

Don't get discouraged. People have been catching browns in Lake Ontario since mid February. You will get them

Trip # 2 and success. Not a huge brown, but at least not a skunk. Water temps. today were 36-37. Water still very clear.
