Hey everyone, I have just got a couple Cannon Easi-troll downriggers and I am wondering what weight and type of cannonballs/torpedos that you’re running. I am not afraid of cranking in heavier weights, but I don’t want to ruin the downriggers either. I will be fishing salmon, trout, and maybe some eyes on spoons down 30’.

Thanks!!

That model has a 2 to 1 gear ratio built in and cranking 10lbs ball is effortless

Good to hear, Gordo! Thanks! It sounds like 12# will be good enough for me, I think. Now to find a place that has some in stock!
