We aren't getting the warmer weather they forecasted.

I was wondering if it was going to open up.

I'll probably postpone until next week and try again.

Thanks for letting us know.

This is today as of 12pm. Close but that ice at the ramp is about 3-4” thick and very solid.

I broke several rocks trying to break it up.

Going to need some really big SW winds to break it up, or some hip waders and a spud (I don’t have either).

Holy crap where’d it go lol. That’s awesome. Guys just watch for floating chunks. Lots around that are softball size. At 40mph that would be bad.

Went by this AM and saw one truck & trailer(who had launched).

It appears as though the water is about the same as when I saw last - have a look

I drove by today, the 26th, the ramp was clear but there was lots of pancake ice off about 200 yards. Get the feeling if there's a good south wind it will fill back in again so be careful of the winds when launching..

Looked like a lot of ice floating around in the gap yesterday.

I only fish the bay during ice season. With walleye being closed now, I was wondering what people target there this time of the year. Seems to be a lot of excitement about putting the boats in :)
