Went for a cruise and fish today.

Launched at Deseronto and headed south. Hay Bay was open to the Bayview Dr. launch.

Couldn't get past Glenora heading east.

Picton Bay was clear. Marked lots of fish on the bottom and suspended. Water temp was 34.5C.

Don't know if the Lake Trout are near Picton or not. Trolled a spoon for a while and then tried jigging the suspended fish.

Glad my wife didn't plan on me bringing home dinner.

Just a great day to be out.

just wondering if fishing picton bay/ hay bay at this time of year is legal I was always under the impression that even fishing perch sun fish trout crappie cat fish that are all open all year in lake Ontario it is not aloud once walleye closes march 1st.. is this area of the bay picton bay/ haybay not a fish sanctuary from march 1st till first sat in may?

Read your exceptions for zone 20,Napanee River,Moira River,Trent River,Consecon Creek,are the only sanctuary's,starting April 1st.

No it isn’t. Only east of the Napanee bridge is a sanctuary. And I believe up in Belleville and Trenton.

thanks guys now I see I thought where it says moira river and bay of quinte thought that they ment all of the bay of quinte
