Things started off Friday when the hurricane came through and we are sitting in doubt thinking we definitely are not going to be able to hit the water tonight. But. At 1am there was 3 of us sitting in the kitchen having coffee pondering on going. So we took a drive up to the Shermans boat launch. Seen the dock had been thrown to the opposite side of the ramp that it was the day before. But the winds were light enough we figured we would give it a go. Fished from 2:00am-5:00am my dad at to work. Came home. Fiancé got up. And we hit the water again. Wind started to blow fairly hard but we did manage a couple nice eating fish around greens point on bottom bouncer and worm harness.
Didn’t fish that evening as this is my birthday weekend so some people came over and we had a fish fry which was nice to enjoy some fresh fish. Sunday morning 3:30 dad and I hit the water. Casting glen island and than headed for Keith’s shoal to see what was out in the deep. But that was cut short when another fellow fisherman’s boat was broke down so we pulled them to the glenora boat ramp and headed towards Shermans point. After a couple passed wham big hit. Got it to the boat and it was a 9.35 walleye. Perfect. Check the site. Not big enough to win anything so couple pictures and she swam to see another day. Went in for breakfast and than my fiancé joined me once again. We go to Shermans. Pulling hardness and bouncers and in 3 hours of fishing we brought home our limit of nice perfect eaters.

Most of our fish well pretty much all of them came off a custom harness which is only available at the Dew Drop In Bait and Tackle called bobs baits. Great harnesses. And a 1/2 ounce bottom bouncer trolling at 1mph-1.5mph. Hopefully everyone enjoyed there opener and have a great season
