Hello, we are considering a visit in Napanee and were told it was a nice area to stop and spend a couple of days. We have a power boat and are using Navionics, althought the maps are indicating that it is very shallow. Can you help us, anyone of you would have another GPS version with better marine charts info? Can we reach the conservatory dock, is it deep enought for our cruiser? We have a draft of 38''. Thank you for your help!

I don’t have a chart for you. But there is always big boats in there from the main lake all the time parked for weekend

I should add as long as you follow the bouy correctly. The main channel will vary from 18’ feet-12’ deep. 12’ the very minimal

The Napanee River is OK to travel. The Navionics Chart for the river doesn't (or didn't) line up on the channel closer to the Town of Napanee.

If I remember right, it shows the channel too far south as you approaching the town. That may have been corrected. I think you can fix it with an offset but I don't know how to do that.

The edges of the channel are mud for most of it. As you get to town it becomes harder but the channel is well marked.

The only spot to really watch is where the channel approachs the last left (port, I not a sailor) bend before the park, it's pretty rocky on the south side of the bend.

There were a half dozen cruisers docked at the park last week, so you shouldn't have a problem.

The Belleville or Kingston Yatch club's might have a chart or info.

It's a nice trip.

I live on Napanee River and am usually on it most days. Large sailboats and cruisers use it regularly.
Just stay within well marked buoys and you will have minimum 8 feet.
Enjoy the river
