Just thought I would share a couple memorial salmon from the year.
These two were caught off Wellington around 110 fow, 55 and 75 down on the riggers. One was on a green sd and fly, the other was a meat rig with a white flasher. Overall they didn't seem too picky this year as spoons took some as well.
As said before, fleas were bad and one 12 lber had to be pulled in by hand as I left the lines out too long and plugged up the rod. Made for an interesting way to get one in.
But these two stood out as the first picture is my friends first ever fish out of Lake Ontario. Needless to say he had a great time. The second was another friends son. It was his 18th birthday and he ended up with a great present. I'm sure he will remember that one for many years to come.
