Hi all,

Lots of great comments in the other post but I thought we could start a thread to keep updated on conditions at the launch. They are getting worse daily.

This is as of 3pm today.

Someone with a Waterwolf camera should get pictures of then tire ripping hole underwater close to the side of the dock.

Hi BigMac,

Those are great pictures! Thanks for doing that.

Would please send these pictures and your comment to the two Loyalist guy's.

David Macpherson, Public Works Manager, dmacpherson@loyalist.ca

Ed Daniliunas , Councillor Ward 2, edaniliunas@loyalist.ca

If the ramp isn't fixed, I'm thinking that after the election, we'll should start bugging the whole council. There might be some new player's who might be more enthusiastic about maintaining the ramp.

Thanks again, great job.

Wow, that's a super fast response. Must have been your great pictures.
Super job!!!
I'm going to try a shore launch on Wednesday.
Not too hopeful there's enough water. Fingers crossed.
Thanks again.

It would be nice if we could get a temporary fix on some of the worst parts. That ramp is vital to the fall fishing. Even a plywood sheet over the worst parts would help

I'm sure they'll wait until prime season to start the work.

At this point I’d be happy to see them working on it, regardless of the impact to my fall fishing.

I do some in water work every now and then and it’s my understanding that it has to be done before October 1st , with July 1st ?being the earliest date you start , not sure if permits are different for various locations but I’m around port hope . .....Hanco

I hope we're OK for dates here.

Last year, I spoke with the Conservation Authority about their launch at the church. They told me that they're constrained by their own rules when repairs are required. They didn't mentioned dates. I just assumed the lower the water, typically fall, the less impact.

This spring when I discussed repairs with the Loyalist Manager of Public Works, I mentioned the that the work permits are required well in advance. He assured me that he knew that ( I think that he was a little indignant that I would mention it ).

I really hope everything is sorted out.

I know that on the Larry they were working in the water numerous places into late Nov last year and on Stoco lake into Nov. Was past Moira lake Wed and they had forms and rebar made up to pour 2 more pads for the end of the launch. Hopefully they get it out far enough so the Power Loaders can't dig holes at the end.
