Looking for a Jigging/Crancking guided walleye fishing trip on Bay on Quinte, wondering if you can help me with.

Best thing to do would to call each of the guides and speak to them about what you're looking for. The majority are trollers however a couple also do jig and crankbait at certain points in the season.

Not getting good results out of jigging/crancking?

I'm not an expert but believe reason for trolling on charters is that 1 running multiple lines/boards increases odds of hooking up and 2 cover more water to find them in numbers ie following and searching for bait clusters/clouds. Jigging and cranks all day won't be able to cover much water and charters like clients to hook up multiple times in hopes of repeat clientele...

Probably 30 yrs ago, maybe longer, late fall jigging was really good. Best was after deer hunting. We'd go to Telegraph Narrows when there was a stiff west wind. The dirty the day the better, sleet, snow or rain.

We'd be mid channel, even with the mouth of Sucker Creek and drift east towards the lighthouse.

The best jig was a black bucktail with red, yellow or white with a mud minnow.

Back then the limit was 6 fish and 8 to 12 lbs were the norm and we'd catch lots. It was super fun, some days the fish would absolutely pound the jig.

The Narrows was the place to go because the fish were concentrated in a small area. We didn't jig anywhere else.

The Zebra Mussels cleaned the water up and we never really caught many fish after that.

I still occasionally jig for walleye but don't do nearly as well as bottom bouncing or trolling.

I've never changed my jigging technique which may be the problem.
