There's lots of chat going on the other boards about the FNC format.

There are polls rating the success of theis new format - results from I have seen aren't very good for rating and watchability.

There are very few good fishing shows on at all. I'm not sure what others may think, but I don't give a rats.....about fishing in Florida. Florida is for boobies, oranges and sand. "Canadian View" sorry.

There were some fellas on a number of weeks ago fishing Grayling and the one guy broke a few rods and had a dufuss with him flyfishing with a "bobber". At least that was interesting.

Thanks to all and whoever for the fishing boards!!!

"the new fly fisher" is my show, more about education and learning new techniques than "hey look how big my fish is" shows. I sit glued to the screen every saturday morning and learn new techniques I put into practice. the show before it "x-treme angler" is very annoying with the pop ups and sound effects every 2 minutes. also the music, I listen to everything from classic rock to metal, but I separate it from fishing. all you hear is some guy blasting away on his guitar throughout the whole show. LOL

My thoughts of the new fnc was what was that !.I sent a e-mail to fish'n canada and the original show will still be on sat. a.m.'s.They claim this is to catch the young audience who like that jack ass stuff,as far as the original goes i thanked them for keeping it going or i would no longer watch if this was the only format they would have. This is my opinion only but the people i talk to seem to have the same felling's about the new FNC.

I'm only jealious I'll not be hooking a 10 lb+ Florida bass any time soon  .

I do enjoy seeing a place where I just may go to, or at least within reason. It's going to be hard to please everyone in 30 min. "the new fly fisher" is a good show hoser. I like it anyway. They got some beauty humpys in the Sault Ste Marie area one time, made me want to pack the car.

Maybe it's the flashy team shirts and logos that make some shows less enjoyable than others?? I guess the bills have to be paid somehow.

Some of the posts here could easly, if put to a video compete with what is on most weekends.

I wonder if this was shot near Florida?? Now that looks like fun...but It makes me think of that old Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis movie.

yeah, it's just the one show that drives me crazy, x-treme angler, even though I only fly fish, I do enjoy the other shows, fishin' canada, etc. but x-treme angler, if you've watched it, use these nintendo sound effects every time they pop up fish facts on the bottom. blasting guitar throughout the show and lots of "oh man!! dude!!! sweeeeeeeeeet!!! rock on!!!" it's like a fishing show for the stereotypical college football jock. LOL (no offense if you play college football)

It is really off the wall, too radical for my tastes and judging by responses to their show many other people feel the same....Larry

I think the new and old show both stink. You don't learn any thing you just watch them fish. I just don't see why they had to take away the American shows. What ever happened to waking up and watching Bassmasters, One More Cast, Hank Parker Outdoors, or even Classic Patterns. As well do you know when Exspressview will get the fishing channel. I hope soon.
