Update nov 4th

They dumped a load of gravel to cover the broken section. The hole still exists under the water further in.

Water level is very low. Barely got the boat off the trailer today. Still usable but if it drops much more it won’t be.

Yea. For now it’s covered, until a very windy south wind day that will pull it all into the lake.

I don’t see the repairs happening this year. Such bs

If I were a taxpayer for Loyalist, I would be livid about this. The "remedy" appears to be a complete wast of time and $$$. Your municipal tax dollars hard at work.

Perhaps a crowd-fund?? Embarrass the counsel by showing up with the funds to do the repair. Demand to be given the authority to undertake the repair by hiring the contractor of your choice (not Loyalist Township Air testers) and demand that the counsel sign the contract. Then, vote out the lot at the next municipal election.

They certainly have buried this issue in Red tape. No doubting that.

Swung by finkles on my way home to check out the progress if any.
They’ve replaced the grating from shore right out to the end of the dock.
Very nice nowImageImage

Just sent a big thank you to Dave Macpherson and Loyalist Township.

Here's Public Works Manager, Dave MacPherson's email if you want to send a thank you.

dmacpherson@loyalist.ca

Can hardly wait to try it.

Nice! I think a bunch of you here who took the time to keep nagging them deserve a high five and a beer!

Launched today. It’s perfect. Barely enough water to get off the trailer though. Be aware of that boys.

It would be nice if while the water was low they could bolt vertical boards to the existing horizontal boards about 3 inches apart and run them down into the normal water level.
DON'T FORGET TO SHOW YOUR APPRECIATION FOR WHAT THEY HAVE DONE AND USE THE DONATION BOX
