I have 40 acres on the north side of the Murray Canal about half way up. We are getting over run with them. This is the second one in 2 weeks, both females.

They tried for our old beagle 3 times since we moved here, he was lucky and died of old age but they didn't. One would come into the yard and try and get him to chase it and there would be 2 more hiding in the brush just outside the yard. Easier to hunt pets then wild prey.

I've been trying for the whole past couple of month to try and get a turkey down. Those guys are smarter than they look. Many of my hunting buddies told me to try some Turkey decoys even told me that this site is one of the few best places to check for such things. Even a 2-year-old gobbler will come to that strutting gobbler decoy and walk around and around that decoy, pecking that decoy every now and then. A gobbler that’s 3 years old or older often will come running into the decoy and begin flogging it with his wings and kicking it with his feet and his spurs. So I was told. Only one way to find out.
