Good day everyone!

Does anyone have a preference in line colour for the BOQ? I usually fish the hay bay / shermans area.
I never really considered this before!!!

Thanks for any Help, see you in a week for the opener

Dave

Don't recall anyone mentioning a specific colour for or against.

Most people are using florocarbon leaders.

Thanks Superdad.

Figured I'd see what the experts thought.
I'm gonna try a few different colours over the next few weeks. I'll post if i find a major difference for the BOQ

Hope to see everyone out in a week.

It depends on how you intend to fish. If jigging with plastics and/or live bait, I like a flourescent blue monofilament so I can see the line above the water for any type of movement. For casting cranks I usually use the same type of mono, and have not noticed that it causes the fish to be line shy. Clear mono would work just as well if it isn't important for you to see your line easily. For trolling, any color Fireline would do provided that either a mono or flourocarbon leader is used. Your ability to determine where the fish are, what they are doing, and using the most appropriate technique efficiently are more important than line color.
