First boat trip of the year came a little early this year. With the nice conditions we decided to give Lake Ontario a shot. Had a great afternoon catching lakers. Went 12 for 14, broke my personal best and my fishing partners twice. Biggest over 17. Spoons trolled on lead on any breaks of contour change in 30 to 45 feet.uImageImageImage

What kind of trolling speeds did you find worked well? Ice conditions are not working well right now for the walleye so I'm thinking of getting the Hobie on the lakers.

1.8 to 2.2 mph. Any where from 4 to 7 colours on lead. Any monkey puke variation as well as purple and black spoons. Good luck

Nice!! I think we launched right after you and should have followed you out to Lake Ontario, instead we went into the Bay for the walleye. We got as far as the lighthouse and the sonar showed lots of fish down at 60 ft . We were hoping the "eyes" would be higher but no luck, we did see 2 other boats full of crazies
