We all know the Canadian Legend Rocket Robert Mitchell. We know him as the Quinte big fish record holder (7.28lbs) and the man with the oldest but cleanest bass boat on tour. Year after year the Rocket is a contender to win the Quinte Classic but falls short on the last day.

With his tournament career orbiting retirement the Rocket would only have a few more blast offs at the title of Quinte Classic Champion. This year could be the year of do or die for the Rocket.

Look at American Legend Roland Martin he has had a prosperous career but has never won a Classic. Will Rocket fall into the same category.

This year looks to be exciting for the Quinte Fishing Series. If your not fishing you should check out the weigh in. For the Rocket there is more at stake than the prize money.

Stay tuned for another Rocket Report!

We at the Rocket Report would like to hear your thoughts on this. What do you think his chances are?

Also stay tuned for Part two when we hit the road and catch up with Mr Mitchell for a questions and answers session.

Hopefully we can get him to reveal some of his most gaurded tactics or even more what he was throwing to land the record.

If hes put his time and effort in....... it will pay off, hopefully! I say within 5 years that record is broken! Saw alot of 5 pound plus bass this year!

this is the biggest bass I saw last year, no official weight(no scale) caught by my little brother Andy!

Hey there Frank, first of all,I don't know if I have met you,but I want to thank you,for putting me in the same catagorie,as the famous Roland Martin, thats quite an honour, that was a big bass, wasn't it,there are bigger ones out there,my partner,COOLY & I have seen them, maybe some other lucky angler, may get one, this year, anyways, back to your inquiry about the winning the Classic,I know in the past,it has eluded me,a few times now,and I believe that is because of my lack,of wanting to run any distance,I've believed in the past, that it could be won, locally,I still think that it can,but my partner ,COOLY has me convinced, that with a little more fuel in the tank, and now that he is also a Pro Guide ,in the Easterly section of The B.O.Q.,and Long Reach &Kingston area, that, our chances of winning the Classic this year, would just be the Icing on the cake,in my long and winding down fishing adventures, now that I'm,sort of speak, retired,I'm going to have all the spare time ,that I need,to pre-fish,and scout around, for all the new spots, that my partner,Cooly has come up with, and he has fished with a lot of the top anglers,in the country,I'm not letting anything out of the bag,but ,canyou smell a new fishing show coming up?????????Nuff said......Thanks again for your concern and thoughtfullness,in me and my partner, winning the classic........ROCKET

Hey there Frank, got your private message, very interesting concept in how to get info from a Pro,before I give away the bank,I would have to know what your real name is,because as we all know,Frank Thomas was a very famous baseball player, from the past,so unless you can prove different,no interview,by the way, hoew is the Kingston area these days, thanks again ..ROCKET

Hey Rocket good luck with the Classic this year. I personally feel that you need to not burn out your spots on day one or you could find a new area for day two. It looks like you and Cooly already have new water. Also your old school milk run is great but by the time the classic rolls around you have put a lot of pressure on thoose fish. If you want to learn how to drop shot I can show you.

Good luck this year with the Classic I won,t be able to fish because I will be in Basic Training.

First of all,I have a bit of an idea who you are,and when I do find out,I'll make sure that I find out where and when you fish ,and with who,you won't need to go there any more ,because those spots will be all fished out,and if I get the opprotunity to get close enough to your boat, you can have a complimentry shower,by the way,as far as moving fish, the only fish that get moved, are the ones from the bay to my boat, not yours, see you at the scales, and thanks for coming out and contributing to the payout, and as far as you DAN!!,I thought you might have a little more Cooth, than that comment, than you had, that you found that funny,I didn't find it funny at all..............Have a good day!!!..........ROCKET...  :?: ...P.S...Poor judgement,on your comments!!!
