Quinte Fishing

My son and I were fishing in the channel, 16 feet, in Trenton area with about 50 other huts. We were a bit late getting out so we only fished from 4:15 - 5:40. My son caught the first fish, a 5 pounder at 5 pm and I caught an 8lb female which were returned to spawn. Only saw 4 walleye on camera. First fish hit a rod with a spoon and minnow head that was just sitting there. Have not seen that too often on the Bay. Ice was 8 plus inches. Going to try in morning, curious as to how they will respond to the rising barometric pressure and storm front?. Probably not well but hoping that they may be on the prowl just prior to storm which should hit around 10 am.
