was out early this morning with jim mccalister of belleville and jiged up 2
under 19" not bad for an early start to this final years end!!
back tomorrow same place.(chartruce/blue jig minnow) be carfull!!!!

THANKS FOR THE HARD WATER REPORT. THINKING ABOUT FISHING HUFF'S NEXT SATURDAY. WHAT WERE THE ICE CONDITIONS? HOW FAR OUT WERE YOU ABLE TO GO? ANY INFO WOULD BE GREAT.

Thats funny I took a drive yesterday to huffs.First I stopped into bakers bait in Napanee bought some minows and headed down to huffs.My intention was to fish Friday if the ice was good, if not the back lakes. It was open water all around the shore with open patches further out. There was knowone out fishing anywhere , I had my binocs and checked everywhere from huffs to shermans out to Thompsons and all the way down Haybay.There is open water all over the place. You may be aible to negotiate your way out (not for me) but it is not a good idea trust me! There was 2 guys off North shore rd out about 50 yards I could see a small open patch not 30 feet from where they were fishing as well as openings near shore ( it was not water on ice ) there was a duck swiming in it. My advise is wait for good ice, its not worth your life, if you must go and don,t value your life do so at daylight donot try at dark!
