I ended up not going last Tuesday, with conditions not sounding great. They are still not great, but I am am going Friday. I am gonna run out of chances before its over, so I'm gonna go.
My buddy might not join me, so it might be a solo trip..
If anyone is interested in teaming up, even just to walk up the ice together. Don't have to share a tent per se, but its always better to travel over the ice with someone.
Thought I would throw it out there, and see if anyone is also looking to go. I was thinking to go to Point Anne, but since I have not fished BOQ ever, I am willing to go anywhere.

Has anyone been last couple of days? what's it been like? I'm coming from Ottawa

Cheers,

Mike

Heads up! It's calling for some pretty big wind on Friday.

40-45 km winds with 60 km gusts is not a good day to walk out. I have a snowmobile and a flip over hut and I am going to skip Friday solely due to the weather. They are not always correct with the winds however the amount predicted doesn't leave much in the way of a safety margin out there! Saturday is better and Sunday should be great with very little winds. Unsettled weather with a cold front and winds rarely turn out to be good fishing days anyway.

My suggestion is to check weather network tonight and look at the hourly forecast, before you commit to tomorrow.

Good Luck.

Shawn

Yeah, Baby! THAT'S what everybody wanted to hear.

A few weeks back we did a post about a bizarre Day during the '95-96 Season.

We watched in amazement while Hut after Hut sailed Eastward down The Bay toward Bay Bridge, anchor lines trailing behind them. Some empty, with Guys hilariously running after them, AND probably some with terrified Dudes inside, wondering if they'd ever see tomorrow.

Not sayin' Friday will be comparable, but nobody's happy about the way things are trending...

Smart call, Bud. We'll wait for you.

Rgds, Wordpecker
