Up from Niagara, using minnows, buck shots, and a few ice jigs. Heading out now for the evening bite, hopefully something hits.

I’m partial to small muds but downsizing to just a minnow head always seems to help

I prefer a minnow head over a whole minnow...
Friends think im nuts when i take their dead minnows from them and cut them up. Lol.
Bite slowed down in trenton (i figured)
So i moved areas back onto the fish....

Lost one big one today right at the hole. Girlfriend hooked into a sheepshead must have been 20+lbs what an insane fight.

Fished big bay this aft. Nothing but perch and silver bass. Never raised a true mark on the sonar. Kinda stumped on where to fish tomorrow aft

Yeah, didn't see much again in front of Baker Island. Gonna try it this morning change things up. Has anyone been around Indian Island? the contours look good for walleye, ice should be fine.

Also tried around Massassauga Point, couldn't get to far, ice was only 3 inches.

Did well Saturday 3 to 6pm, iced 18 and released all to swim another day.
Got out Sunday am for a few hours and iced another 4, again all released.
I moved away from all the people.

I believe to get away from the crowd..
Most people see a hut and assume there on fish so they start drillin 50ft away.. happend today to me. Had 4 huts within a 100ft radius after we setup.
Little did they kno i had a 2 year old and a 5 year old in my hut targeting "Perch".. probably heard all the hootin and hollerin so assumed we were landing big walleye. Lmao.
Follow your instinct and get away from the crowd
