Hey, me and a good buddy have decided spread our wings and go to the Niagara sand bar for the first time, sleeping in the SUV and fishing 2 days. Hopefully we have a good trip, would love to make this an annual trip for me and some boys. We fish relatively local to the Kingston and Quinte area on Lake O, and want to grow as fishermen and expand what our comfort zone is. Going in a few days!

Targetting lakers, brown trout or salmon.
If anyone wants to share their experiences we only have this area to compare to. Thanks, and to all the guys that we see on the water, we're glad we aren't the only ones that looked for the first opportunity to start the soft water season.

As a side note we also are planning to try the ducks this year.

Haha, I have a 7 seater SUV, all seats down and a camping air mattress set up in the back, with some sheets a blanket and pillow. Less than 4 hours till we hit the road, weather lookin solid for our two days out there, been a mental challenge against the weather network. Hopefully this is one of the rare times they are right. Good luck to anyone getting out on the water, will put up a post after the trip.

Think we were a bit early, water temps around 32-33 first day. Got 2 lakers, second day changed things up a bit no lakers, but got one salmon, just under 35". Sad to say during the whole research for the trip we got ourselves tunnel visioned on a lake trout trip. 2 minutes of searching when we got home, and realised we were prime time prime location for some kings. Lesson learned, all in all the trip was a good adventure. I'm sure another trip in the future will happen.

Hi Andrew:

Nice to see it wasn't a Skunk, Bud.

Foto of the Salmon? That's a decent size.

Weights work okay?
