I was driving by Finkle's late last week and I seen there was a big truck backed up to the dock that said white lake fish culture on it, they were stocking the lake with 60,000 Lake trout that day alone, and that was their 4th day in a row. 2 days at Finkle's, 1 day at Glenora and 1 day over by sandbanks. I follow this forum on a daily basis and love the pictures of big fish when guys post them. When I saw those thousands upon thousands of small lake trout going into the lake last week got me thinking that I've never seen anyone post about catching the 2-5 lb lake trout in the spring? the nice eating size, Where do you go to find the smaller fish?? Seems like the average size of fish being caught is 8-15lbs and quite often bigger. I personally have never caught one smaller then 7 or 8 lbs in the spring which is really the only time of year I have ever target lake trout.
