Saturday morning headed out fishing it was a little brr. Started at Sherman’s with no luck at all.
Saturday evening figured we we do something different and headed down for the green bouy at the reach and right off the hop in 41’ of water fish on. Nice 3 1/2 off a bottom bouncer and a harness. Trolled there for a bit with nothing. Trolled down to the cables and found a nice little section of them in 15’ and we came home with 6 all around 2.5 to 3.5 lbs.
Sunday morning my pops and uncle headed to the flats and they were there after the sun came up and warm the water up a degree. We left that morning after a couple hours with 10 nice eyes. All from 1.5-3.5 so we had a big fish fry Sunday night to top our good long weekend off. All the fish down there on worm harness and keel sinkers. And bronze mepps with the single hooks.

If anyone wants the harness we used there at our store dew drop in bait and tackle on country rd 9. They are custom made and really seem to be producing fish this year.

Anywhere from 3/4 oz to 3oz depending on boat speed

I find heavier is better, tends to stir up the bottom like bait fish feeding. Just a thought.
