Quinte Fishing

I'm taking my friend out tomorrow who never fishes out to Point Anne for some walleye and I would really like to put him on some fish.
I've been out a few times this year and have had little luck with bottom bouncers trolling worm harnesses this year in about 12-16 ft. I read one report about targeting them shallow with jerkbaits.
I'll only be going out for about 3.5 hours tomorrow night - from 5-8:30 or so. Just wondering if I should focus most of our time that we have trolling or have people been doing better casting over some of the early weeds that are coming up.

Any advice would help. I know there is a lot of wisdom on this board and I would love for him to catch something.

I just posted a report and we weren't too far from pt Anne. I'm partial to casting jerkbaits and crankbaits merar the weeds. If you're not picking up the odd weed on your carnkbait once in a while move in closer. The depth we were in was about8-10'
