Good morning folks.
Heading down to Kingston from Ottawa next weekend (June 21) with my wife, her sister and husband.
Girls are going to The Pen.
Boys are going fishing.
I have a 21' CC with riggers and Planer board mast.
What are my best options for fishing?
Have fished Henderson Harbour NY numourous times.
I will have a slide in camper on the truck so wasn't looking to drive to far.
Need a fairly deep launch as well to recover the boat.
Was thinking of going to Olympic Harbour to launch and heading out past Amherst Island.
If the weather is really good was thinking about headed out to Main Duck.
Anyone care to weigh in with some thoughts?
Truck and trailer are close to 50' as well so some places ,parking could be a problem.
Staying at Rideau Acres, just north east of Kingston.

Thanks for any help.
Mitch.

You've got the right plan. I havent heard of any closures at portsmouth olympic harbor. Maybe just give them a call to confirm youre good to go

West street by ahoy rentals, is only free launch not under water in Kingston, very little parking there, could have to park on street.

Thanks folks.
Weather is looking pretty decent for Saturday so far.
22C and 16km from the northwest.
Anyone willing to gestimate what the wave heights will look like at that windspeed?
Looks like going to pay at Olympic harbour to launch.
Hope the $16 covers parking as well.
Heading out to work on the boat now and hopefully get it out for a shake down later today.
Mitch.

North shore will be ok on a north wind. Otherwise it will be quite rough around amherst and main duck.

16km is no prob anywhere including the ducks. I have a 19ā€™ and would go no prob. It will be bumpy but not unsafe. Iā€™d guess 1.0-1.5ā€™ waves at main duck.
