Quinte Fishing

Was looking for a new lake to try. South Frontenac Township has a list on the web of launches they maintain. 13 Island Lake was one of them.

I'd say the ramp is limited to very small boats. It's super steep, long and loose rutted gravel. The enterence is on a blind curve, "T" intersection with no place to pull off or turn around.

It looks like, if you do managed to get into it, your probably not getting out.

Met a couple of MNR guy's and asked about the ramp. Good for a few laughs. Apparently, some miss adventures have occurred at this launch.

For me, not worth the potential tow bill.

There was a post about this launch in 2012. It hasn't improved.

fishing is mediocre also. Walleye are a good size, when you can get them.

It’s not really a problem and you have a 4 wheel drive. Don’t try it with 2 wheel or you’ll be in big trouble
