Fished the lake yesterday for smallmouth and hit a new personal best 6.9 lbs. Came in 25' of water on a dropshot.
Caught me by suprise because I was catching all small fish and was about to move to find something bigger.

That's a beauty Dan, and it's not a really fat fish.
To beat that, you are going to need a 7lb. plus, :) ....but they are out there.

Wowzer, Dano!

Don't usually see Bass referred to as Hogs, but that Pretty Thang sure qualifies. Nice goin'!

Musta been one knuckle-bruiser of a Battle.~

Great fish, Dan!

That's a beautiful bass...the tail shows it must have had some power to fight.

Congratulations.

Thanks guys,
I didn't get any measurements just put it on the scales, snapped a quick pic and let it swim away. I thought I had a drum on at first, then I caught a glimpse and changed my mind to a walleye because it was so long. It then wanted to show me how high he could jump. Setting the bar for an 8 lol

Real nice fish Dan! How many times does it happen on last cast? Amazing how 25-30 years ago we anglers made the trip to "the ducks" for hopes of a limit of 3lb plus fish and now well.... Get that 8 Dan, couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
