Do we throw them back or dispose of them?

If i read the regs correctly, they have to be disposed of, permanently, do not throw back in, do not use for bait

I've yet to catch one but I know whenever my uncle catches them, he throws them in a bucket and puts them in the garden for fertilizer if the racoons don't dig them up first. Either way, don't toss them back!

Yep, they sure are ugly. My kids catch 'em occasionally of the dock in Picton, we chuck 'em in a bucket and leave them on the lawn for the raccoons.

Talked to an MNR guy one day and he advised NEVER to put a live Goby back in the water.

Where did these species originally come from?

It is believed that the gobies cam out of an ocean vessel's ballast while they were traveling the Seaway and Great Lakes system. Typically this is where all invasive speices come from, as did the zebra mussels.

I believe Gobies are from the black sea.
