Ended with 8 Walleye for 3 great days. Most fish caught in water deeper than 100' between the light house and Bat Cave
31" was the biggest and the smallest around 20"

We saw others catching, I would imagine the weekends would be brutal fishing that area.
Lots of boats fishing inlines way out from their sides takes up a lot of room, you have to plan your turns.
Everyone thinks they're the ones going strait and not the other guy  :D Sometimes it's a circus
I think every Walleye we caught was on a different body bait and color.
Mind you, I'm talking 6 guys 2 Boats caught the 8 Walleye 3 days, I wouldn't call that good fishing.
We marked lots of fish, Silver Bass, Drum, Walleye, Etc.
Our group try and fish up high because we release most our fish, where only looking for Fishing Club Contest winners, Length X Girth.
Nothing like Erie, 1 guy limit 6 fish in 20 mins.
Slow troll speed 2 and under.
Wish you luck.

Yes, definitely a couple of nice fish in the pictures there fishfarmer! Lake Erie spoils us with numbers. It takes longer to drive there and back than it does to get a limit of fish. And Quinte spoils us not with quanity but quality. The big hens of lake Ontario that migrate to Quinte every fall. This is where most of us find our open water personal bests. I remember your posts from previous years and that this is an annual trip for you and your buddies. That's awesome! Thanks for your pictures and report!

Tight lines,

Kevin

Good report, I was out in same area 18th & 20th had decent days with similar sizes, we like you don't fish deep, 30ft down and everything over 24" goes back to swim another day, those are my boats rules, why risk killing a prime 20year old spawner who
not that safe to eat anyway. I was probably one of those who put my boards out a fair distance, all the better to catch undisturbed fish we have been taught? My inner boards do catch more fish however they are the deepest at 26-28ft down according to the Precision Trolling AP, However a Rapala DDHJ12 back 90ft from outside board with a 1oz snap weight counted for our two biggest fish this year 31 1/2" 11.4lbs and 32 3/4" weighed in at 12.6lbs Glass Clown & Barbie patterns, my guess at about 21 ft down, charts show that lure at 16 ft down with no weight and at 26 ft down with 2oz weight so I recon half way between?
When it gets crowded it is a gong show or circus, I try to avoid weekends for that reason, the benefit of being retired and local.
Sure wish people would reread the boating manual, had someone almost T bone me on my port side and he started the arm waving and vocal complaints. If everybody is going east west why do some try the zig-zag North to South route?
glad you enjoyed your visit
WR
