yep...Loughborough dr and walk right from the boat ramp out.

I haven't heard of ice there yet...can't wait for some though.

Lakers are hit and miss. Last year was a tougher year for us but the years before, we have done well.

Although many use white tubes, I've always used and had my most success with a drop shot rig using a Vibrato on the bottom and Berkley Gulp minnow suspended above.

Cheers

The ramp is at the west end of the lake. This is the deepest area of the lake. Fish in 50 to 100 ft of water. Be aware, it takes awhile to get safe ice in this area due to the deep water. BATMAN

You can access deep water at Davidson beach with access off Four Seasons drive . Division street north to Holmes road. Turn left follow to four seasons drive. Park at the top of the hill and walk down or if you have ATV you can drive down just depends on if the gate at the top is open or locked. Either way it’s like a 100 yard walk tops and locals on the street usually wear down a path.

The 2 accesses mentioned above are you best bet. But ice isn't ready yet. Looks to be cold for the next week or so, so that should help! Gonna be a short window this year.

What a very different group of people on this forum, than on the Facebook groups. Nothing but sincere and friendly advice here...

That's the reason most folks are here, and not on FakeBook. No BS to deal with.

That’s a private launch and there is no legal parking on Loughborough Dr. city police have been enforcing the no parking and locals are fed up with people parking on private property. I wouldn’t suggest parking there. People have been under the impression that the launch is public. It is not. I think you will see gates go up shortly

That's too bad...another lake becoming inaccessible.

Bass-turds!

Well, this I do not understand, I have been going there for about 3 years now. I have many times while there talked with locals both on and off the ice and not one has said anything negative or grumpy about the using of the ramp or access from the road. In all fairness to the landowners, I would prefer to hear this from them before I make an assumption. Being that the ramp is being claimed as private I would be prepared to ask the owner for permission or pay a fee for usage as seen in other areas. Examples such as Wagars on Big Bay, the City of Belleville for George and Herchimer, Quinte W. private Glen Ross.

Northerner10, since you have a cottage or home just up from the ramp would it be possible for you to ask the ramp owner to contact me or if I can contact them? Gary Kyte 6139224663 . Thanks in advance.

Contacted by (*****) the owner of the property where the Lobo Ramp is and was I informed that it is a deeded ramp area. I was told that the ramp area is owned by him which I have no reason to not believe since I was told he has the deed if you wish to see it. Apparently this property was offered to the city and they turned it down. The owner according to my phone conversation with him was informed by legal counsel that the liability for the persons using the ramp would or could rest on him in the wake of an accident or injury. This is one of the concerns of the 2-3other concerns such as in the case at Point Anne with garbage, blocked driveways, rude and belligerent people going to or coming from the ice surface. *Please note that it is said "people not necessarily fishers"*

Well, I will leave it at that and I will be in search of an alternate way onto the ice. I hate the Davidson Beach hill but that is my only way on at this time. I will continue to fish Lobo and hope that some resolution can be found, not here to argue I just want to fish.

We could NOT believe what we saw this morning! Coming back across Bay Bridge just after Noon hour, there were FIVE HUTS parked out on the Ice, roughly 200 yds West of the Bridge! With OPEN WATER at the Bridge!!!

No idea how thick the ice is there, OR how those Huts got out there. Obviously they were heavy enough that some machine - ATV? - towed them out. It definitely wasn't US!~
