Launched the sled out of pt Anne this aft. The ice where I was was about 7". In one spot it was 10" and at another it was 6". If you decide to fish big bay stay away from the west end. It was wide open water there just before the cold and snow. It won't hold a machine. Please use caution! There are several areas where there is water/slush on top. No pressure cracks yet. Fishing was terrible with 3 decent marks and a curious pike that played with my bait all the way up to the hole. It hung around toying with the bait for a few minutes right at the hole then moved on.

Big bays been slow this year for me. Been there 3 times and each time I mark fish but can’t them to bite

A out of town group of 4 this week were fishing it daily. Wednesday they caught 24, Thurs 5 yesterday few in the morning and zip for the evening bite.
