I live up on the bluff above Long Reach and looks like there is a vehicle fire on the ice--a Skidoo? Does anyone know what happened? We heard a pop and then saw the smoke. Happened about 10:15am Sunday morning.

I am watching it as well, but am far away, what ever it was it was fully engulfed. Hopefully no one was hurt and they clean up the mess. Didn't see anyone rushing around to try to put it out.

According to an earlier post, the owner has had a bad luck weekend from the getgo.
Jamie99 posted yesterday that his bike was stranded on the ice and needed help. Later he posted bike was off the ice but the towbar was lost, earlier I saw on the forum that he mentioned it was his bike burning and was looking to pay someone to take it off the ice. Here is the one post but I do not see the other two. http://forum2.quintefishing.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=25891

I was really hoping to follow that problem with his quad he was speaking of Gary, but anything related to it has been removed, and no explanation why.
Sounded like it was a fuel issue, and if it caught fire today, he might be able to shed some light as to what happened. Perhaps save someone else a similar issue.

That was the same guy who said he was stranded on the ice at Thompsons and was going to get a heater to put under his bike to thaw it out?

Should have used this appropriately named product, instead of the heater under the bike.

Fire started the next morning while he was in his hut. The heater was used the day before. Jamie 99 is my fishing buddy. Bike had just
starting having issues starting the day before. All of it has been removed and he is waiting for his insurance adjuster.

I hope it works out for him.
Did he have any idea on what the cause of the fire was? Electrical? Fuel?
