Thinking of taking the boys out this weekend and was hoping for some safe recommendations. We will be walking out with all of our gear. Fished Quinte enough, but never hard water. Travelling from South of Toronto. Hoping for some perch and Walleye. Any recommendations on where to we could head out from and parking would be greatly appreciated. I follow this forum all the time, even when not planning to fish Quinte. Great community you have here.

I fished Wellers, lots of ice. Potters you now have to pay using their APP. Try off of Aikins Rd or Onderdonks which is closer to Wellers bay. A Swedish pimple with minnows or any silver jig works. Any colour can work. I also use a single hook with a minnow on my second line. Using a bobber if warm enough.

Good luck.

Not all of them. Too warm in the south for hard water. Besides it is part of the adventure. I love Quinte but I have been on here for years and I am mindful of the winter conditions with variations in ice.
