Anyone been or going to the Quinte Sportsman Show this weekend? Thinking I might head there on Sunday.

Took a pass with the Virus thingy, even tho the Belleville Mayor said it's safe.

Gonna pass on the Toronto Sportsmans Show also, avoiding crowds of people at my age.

I went first thing yesterday morning, not busy and felt empty by noon, felt sorry for those working the booths, slow day at trade show is no fun. There was rumours of show being shut down but nothing online this morning.
One tip, take your own pen to fill in your draw tickets.

I went yesterday around 4 and it was pretty empty...allowed me to talk to a lot of people working at the booths though so that was a plus I guess.
A number of booths said they were packing up last night and heading out as well...so I'm not sure what today is going to look like.

and just why would they fake it to kill the economy
to drive down the stock market
to send all the kids home from school and university ( the faculty of medicine don't think it's fake)
to limit tourism and foreign travel
to bankrupt small business and deprive people from employment and earnings
so the governments provincial and federal can go deeper in debt supporting healthcare and the economy

1400 deaths faked in Italy

Thanks for the information from people who actually went there. Decided to stay home on Sunday, save some money and rewire my boat trailer so I can take the boat to the mechanics this week.

Staying home and spending some quality time with my wife.

I figure after a month together, she'll be excited to see me go fishing the rest of the year.

Everyone keep well.

I am having a tough time wrapping my head around the panic of this latest in a long line of flue viruses.

Most folks here can remember the wicked flue of 22years ago. I remember that everyone who got it lost a lot of weight in the few days of illness.
The numbers in comparison to the swine flu is staggering low and yet there was no shut down.
Italian numbers show a death rate lower than malaria that is an ongoing thing.

This really needs to be put into perspective.

The biggest thing that this is trying to address is the load on the health care system. In Italy they have ICU patients in hallways and medical workers are overcome. The goal is to slow the spread so that our hospitals don't crash. In China they built hospitals within a couple weeks just so they could cope. We could never do that here. Just trying to slow the spread
