Got out last week with a buddy for some lakers and today was time for my rig to get the cobwebs shaken off.

Little chilly to start at 1030 but it warmed nicely by mid afternoon.

The boat ran great and the fish were snapping.

20/23 with all but 5 bites coming off the riggers. Had a couple other knockoffs that didn’t stick also.

Gotta love open water fishing mid March.

A few pics from the day.

Those are really nice looking fish and with the cold water, always fight to the end.

Way to go getting out - saw a couple of trailers at Finkles on Saturday when we passed by and looked at the ramp.

What do you use out there.... spoons, I have a 16 ft boat so I’d have to pick my days.

Just spoons unless I have more than 6 lines and I’ll run a couple of deep cranks like husky jerks.

Usually 2 rigger lines
2 4-5 colour leadcores
2 planer boards with snap weights.
