Well it looks as if the Bay is again coming back to it fame as the Walleye Capital. The Ayr Sportsman made their annual trip this past weekend, and to a person (31) had nothing but smiles and compliments for the hospitality and great fishing the bay has to offer. This was our 20th year staying at Sunset Farms in the village of NorthPort on Big Bay and were again treated to excellent meals, and great accomodations by the Rabbie family. With the cooperation of the weather we were able to get in 3 very successful days of fishing. Most fish were caught on bottom bouncers and worm harnesses trolling or drifting the edge of the weedlines. Chartreuse and black seemed to be the popular colors this weekend. In the past few years we have had to fish at night to be successful, but this year it wasn't necessary. Most of the fish that were taken were released hopefully to be caught another day.
