Hi, I am new to the area this is my first summer fishing here. I do most of my fishing from shore. I’m asking a huge favor here, I’m getting my step kids into fishing 9 year old girl and 11 year old boy. Looking to find some easy and safe places to catch a few bigger panfish or perch or crappie to keep them excited and to bring some home and teach them how to clean a fish. I understand that no one wants to tell the world their secret spots, but a little help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Try allong the Napanee river in spring side park, usually the odd walleye and pike caught there too.

Awesome thank you very much. So far we have been ridding the water of gobies and weeds!

What area do you live in or do you want to fish out of? Will make it easier to help if we know where you are looking to fish at or close to.

I am in the Trenton area, not afraid of a bit of a drive, i have tried a few spots around here and have been doing the old drive and fish.. and a few hours of looking at maps and trying to find some good areas to try.

Just go a few minutes north to Glen Ross and fish the canal area, I would suggest the low side of the canal. Perch some crappie and pike along with various panner's. Might find a wally there also. Above the lock go west on Blacksmith Lane to the dam and the Rockers along with gars, the occasional walleye, some crappie, perch and suckers should be hanging out.
