Just a quick reminder to check out the BASS Elites at Clayton today through Sunday. IF you cant get out and your in front of the a/c check out the best of the best and rout on our Canadian anglers and especially the local Johnson brothers. At this time Chris Johnson is leading. You can see all the action on BASS Elite website and go to LIVE to catch the action in the boats.

27.0 is a huge bag. And he said on live today that tomorrow will be even better. How 27 pounds of smallmouth gets better I have no clue

Back in the early 90s I fished the Canadian Open when it was full of top end American Bassmasters like Classic winner Woo Daves, OT Fears, Bernie Schultz. On the final day OT Fears weighed in 26.5 lbs and that was major huge back in them days. That was before the size the average smallie is now and archaic electronics.

I attended the BM Classic in Alabama earlier this year and that was beyond expectations. Went down to support the Canadians and had these shirts made.

I had Cory as my Pro in the Kingston Canadian Open years ago...fish just love those guys!

If you didn't get to see it yesterday, a 5 lb smallie jumped into Chris's boat before he could grab it.

Even the fish they catch, know just to give up and get in the boat! lol

Huge accomplishment in the sport of bass tournament angling. A first and well deserved as those guys are machines when it comes to fishing. So happy for them as well as Gusty. I fished against these guys many times over the-years and they were always a cut above the rest of the field. I have seen them go by me on the big lake in waves I couldn’t dream of pounding through but they will and seem to always find the big ones! Great job to all the Canadians it was just sad that Canadians couldn’t be down there to see this first in our sport and lend our support. CONGRATS CHRIS!

That was one heck of a tourney...very exciting to watch!

It would have been great to see all 3 Canadians in the top 10 and fishing the last day. Gussy was so close.

They're off to Lake Champlain now...fingers crossed we'll have a Canadian again in the top.

Great to see them do so well, all the hard work and travel and missed family time finally payed off congrads on a great tournament eh and will be watching you guys on champlain
