Took a break from the crowds chasing gold this weekend, and although not as tasty (not that we eat them), these species are a lot more entertaining at the end of the line...especially when casting on light tackle, rather than trolling with heavier gear.
Poked around the islands and inlets of Prince Edward Bay. Only saw one other boat Saturday. Launch was empty. Although no big concentrations of fish, most were quality. The Bass liked Ned Rigs, the Pike mostly came on swim baits. 15 to 20 fow was the sweet spot for both species. Water temp was 53f, about 5 degrees warmer than the BOQ.
