Don't know what it is but I have heard and experienced some really big bass being caught. Was out on opener and the first bass of the season was well over 5lbs. We caught a number of 3.5-4.5 lb fish and probably would have come in with around 20lbs if in a tournament. The Sunday we would have had around 17lbs. A buddy of mine was out last weekend and landed a lot of nice fish, the biggest being 4.9lbs and said he lost 2 that were bigger. Can't give any locations as I am planning on doing the last 3 Quinte tourneys but lets just say I have hardly spent any money on gas launchng from Belleville. I am quite confident that the Bay holds some 8+ lbers and would encourage anybody to get into bass fishing on the Bay.
Cheers

bass is where it's at !!! the greatest fish in the world :o don't have to go far to find them  nothing's funnier than tugging a mouse fly (or lure!!) across the top of some weeds to have a largemouth explode to the surface and inhale it. could almost hear the lure going "eeeeeeeeeeek !!!!" LOL
